What it does
The smallest alpha-hydroxy acid with the biggest impact on skin, hair and scalp.
For Skin
Renews surface skin for smoother texture and a brighter, more even look, in formats from serums to peels.
For Hair
Penetrates the hair shaft to stabilize keratin, raising its denaturation temperature by 5 to 9 °C, for better resistance to heat styling.
For Scalp
Brings skin-care exfoliation to the scalp, one of beauty's fastest-moving categories, with one ingredient for both skin and hair.

Is Glypure® formaldehyde-free?
Glypure® 70 ULTRA is formaldehyde non-detect and DCA non-detect, verified by lab testing.
Which Glypure® grade should I use?
Glypure® 70 or 70 ULTRA for aqueous formulas, Glypure® 99 for anhydrous or low-water formats, and Glypure® GL for sensitive skin and leave-on anhydrous products.
What pH should I formulate glycolic acid at?
For U.S. consumer products, CIR guidance calls for pH 3.5 or higher and 10% glycolic acid or less, with sun sensitivity labeling. In the EU, the SCCS opinion sets a maximum of 4% at pH 3.8 or higher.
Does glycolic acid work on hair?
Yes. In our testing, 5% Glypure® raised keratin denaturation temperature by 5 to 9 °C across African, Asian and Latino hair, for better resistance to heat styling.
Where is Glypure® made?
Made 24/7 in Belle, West Virginia and purified in Dayton, Tennessee.
*Non-detect. Formaldehyde LOQ 4.20 ppm; DCA LOQ 5.40 ppb, Glypure® 70 ULTRA.
